We see the audit as an activity which should add value to all parties in the process – both the auditee and any principals who may have requested this intervention. We use local auditors who are generally resident in the country concerned, speak the workers’ and managers’ language and are aware of local laws, custom and practice. Our professional audit teams are briefed on the requirements of the programmes they are auditing for and stay abreast of best practice in this area. Depending on specific programme requirements we take a pro-active approach in evaluating findings and discussing these with the factory management both to ensure agreement of any non-compliances and to obtain initial thoughts on corrective actions from the managers. Our audits follow a closed-loop process |
