Leading Advice Agency receives Quality Mark from SGS United Kingdom Ltd.


Housing Rights Service, the leading specialist housing advice charity, has become one of the first advice organisations’ in Northern Ireland to be awarded the prestigious Customer Service Excellence (CSE) certification.

The CSE standard is awarded to organisations where there is a clear and demonstrable commitment to understanding customer needs.

Jim O’ Callaghan, Head of Operations with Housing Rights Service said: “The CSE award is about consulting with our customers so that we can deliver services they really need and offering them the opportunity to let us know how well we are meeting those needs. Clients are at the very heart of Housing Rights Service work so we are delighted to be one of the first local advice agencies to receive this award.

Housing Rights Service selected SGS United Kingdom Ltd to carry out its CSE assessment. Alison Sloan, lead assessor for SGS, says: “In our on-site assessment we found HRS to have a deep understanding of, and commitment to, Customer Service Excellence. We found this from senior management through to operational and frontline staff.”  

The certification is valid for three years subject to annual review to ensure a continuous commitment to the standard.
