Charter Mark is the national standard for customer service in the public-sector, sponsored by the Cabinet Office and available to all public-sector organisations as well as commercial organisations operating within the public sector.

Aims
The course workshops will provide participants with the opportunity to:

  • understand the linkages between ISO 9001 and the Charter Mark criteria
  • relate the Charter Mark criteria to aspects of your organisation
  • provide a gap analysis of existing processes to identify areas that may need to be developed to comply with the Charter Mark criteria
  • understand how to submit an application for Charter Mark recognition through SGS

Profile
This course is designed to assist public-sector organisations who have established Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 Certification, to achieve Charter Mark recognition.

Participants should be familiar with the ISO 9001: 2000 Standard and their organisation’s QMS. Workshops during this one-day course will provide an understanding of the Charter Mark criteria, how to relate the criteria to existing QMS systems, identify groups within the current procedures and submit an application for Charter Mark.

It is expected that participants will continue to use their exercises to facilitate Charter Mark implementation in their own organisation.
