Aims This course aims to:
raise awareness of the variety of possible requirements, such as workforce conditions of employment, Health & Safety and environmental issues
develop a practical understanding of the range of issues in supplier selection, evaluation and auditing in social accountability
develop the necessary skills for social auditors performing supplier evaluation as a part of overall compliance to customer codes and requirements
Profile This two day programme is based around established Supplier Codes of Conduct such as Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI base code). Participants need not have extensive social audit experience and the course is suitable for those with strong technical skills in quality control and assurance wishing to extend their skills. In-company courses can be adapted to meet the requirement of an organisation’s own code of conduct, and can include a live audit element (as an optional extra). In-company courses can include all the usual elements of a Supplier Code of Conduct: quality, environment, safety, human rights and employment conditions.
