Aims By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
describe the fundamental purpose of a management system and explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of SA 8000, local industry practice, the relevant legislative framework;
describe the responsibilities of an internal auditor and describe the role of internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of social systems, in accordance with ISO 19011;
conduct and report an internal audit of a social system in part of an organisation in accordance with ISO 19011 and by interpreting the requirements of SA 8000.
Profile This aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to perform internal audits of social systems.
This course comprises lectures and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of social systems or SA 8000 before attending the course.
