Aims
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• explain the purpose and intent of the ISO 9000:2000 family of standards
• describe the requirements of ISO 9001:2000
• explain the relationship between the clauses of ISO 9001:2000
• understand the purpose and requirements of ISO 9001:2000 as a tool for business improvement

Profile
Participants planning to complete other ISO 9000:2000 training, such as the Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course or the Internal QMS Auditor Training Course, will benefit from this course as it provides a strong knowledge and theory foundation upon which to build auditing skills.

It also works as an introduction for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of an ISO 9001:2000 management system.

This course comprises lectures and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of quality management systems or ISO 9001:2000 before attending the course.  Successful completion of this and the Internal QMS Auditor Training Course (SSCE/IQMSA) fulfils part of the training requirements for certification as a QMS 2000 Internal Auditor with the IRCA.
