Introduction & Awareness to ISO 22000 Training Course

Aims:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • describe the purpose of a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on HACCP principles and explain the legislative framework relevant to such a FSMS;
  • explain the purpose and intent of ISO 22000:2005;
  • describe the requirements of ISO 22000:2005.
  • understand the purpose and requirements of ISO 22000 as a tool for the continual improvement of the FSMS.

Profile:
This course is an introduction for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of a FSMS based on ISO 22000.

The course will benefit those planning to complete other FSMS training, for internal auditing and the Lead Auditor Training Course, as it provides a strong basis of knowledge and understanding of IS 22000 upon which to build auditing skills.

This course comprises lectures and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of food safety management systems or ISO 22000 before attending the course.  Successful completion of this and the Internal FSMS Auditor Training Course (SSCE/IFSMSA) fulfill part of the training requirements for certification as an Internal FSMS Auditor with the IRCA.
