Aims
This course will enable participants to:

• understand the intentions and requirements of the WEEE legislation
• understand how the WEEE requirements are expected to be implemented
• learn how to prepare to meet the regulations
• have an opportunity to discuss and exchange information

Profile
Through a combination of slide shows, discussions and an open forum, the standard awareness seminar will highlight the following areas of these forthcoming directives:

• background - what, who, where, etc
• what is WEEE
• what is RoHS
• possible take-back schemes
• roles of regulators
• re-use, recycle and disposal routes for WEEE
• what action the industry can take
