Driving Standards Agency Awarded Customer Service Excellence Status


The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has been awarded the prestigious Customer Service Excellence (CSE) certification.

CSE is a government standard which aims to promote excellent customer service throughout the public sector and can also be applied to the private sector. This rigorous standard looks at customer insight, organisational culture, information and access, delivery, and timelines and quality of service.

The agency was supported throughout the certification process by SGS United Kingdom Ltd, the global leader in inspection, verification, certification and training services.

SGS assessor, Bob Waddle, described DSA as “a very highly compliant organisation which focuses on putting customer service at the heart of their strategy.”

DSA Chief Executive Rosemary Thew said:  “We are proud to have been granted CSE certification, which is a tribute to all DSA’s hard-working and committed staff.”

At DSA, the certification is being accompanied by an approach known as ‘Customer Promises’.

Rosemary Thew added: “This will allow us to maintain our certification, demonstrate our commitment to delivering outstanding customer services, and ensure we have robust systems in place to allow all customers ease of access to our services.”
