Hong Kong - 08/09/11 Ocean Park Ocean Park has been a part of the community and the fabric of Hong Kong for more than 34 years, welcoming a total of more than 100 million guests since its beginning in 1977. The annual attendance for fiscal year 2010/11 which just completed on June 30, 2011 is in excess of 5.8 million The park has launched new attractions over the years to continue providing guests with unforgettable experiences and consistently enhance service quality. Since July 2009, the park has implemented a food safety system that adheres to the globally recognized ISO 22000 standard in all of its catering facilities. Two years later, Ocean Park had became the first theme park in Hong Kong to be awarded ISO 22000 certification. This significant achievement is testament to the Park’s longstanding commitment to its corporate responsibility SGS Hong Kong is honored to be appointed by Ocean Park as an independent third-party certification body. ‘Ocean Park has set a shining example for the industry in promoting food safety and demonstrates how much Hong Kong values food safety to people around the globe,’ said Mr. Ben Tsang, Senior Director (China & HK) of SGS at the certificate presentation cocktail.
