SGS acquires Environmental Testing Corporation (ETC), USA
ETC provides comprehensive research, development and certification testing services to domestic and foreign vehicle and engine manufacturers as well as regulatory agencies and the research community including the US EPA the Coordinating Research Council (CRC) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

SGS acquires AG Research Associates, USA
ARA is a leading Contract Research Organisation for both registration and R&D of new agrochemicals and seeds. It conducts bio-efficacy and GMO efficacy trials, provides regulatory science guidance and recommendations for defense, development, and registration of new agricultural products.

SGS acquires Sertec S.r.l.
